House Hunting

We have arrived in our city and we are looking for a house. So far we have seen four flats and nothing really even close to what we want. We are still confident that we will find something for our family but we are making the guesthouse more and more cozy every day. We might be here a while. Jonathan is going our with the realtor tomorrow again to go look at more flats. We are ready to be in our own home. Its been 9.5 months since we had a home of our own.

Back in Delhi, we spent some time with some old friends at a nice park there.

Update Edition

So.... let's just do a quick update on the last month.

We said good-bye to our friends in Virginia. :(
We broke down on the trip home :(
God provided a great mechanic, grandparents and free wi-fi while we waited :)
We had wonderful holidays with lots of friends and family in SC :)
We packed everything into 12 bags :/
We said good-bye to our friends and family in SC :( :( :(
We had an uneventful 26 hours of traveling to the capital city :)
Jet lag has been brutal :(
We were surprised at the airport by our team leader and his 5 year old :)
We have gotten to see many friends that we left here 5.5 years ago :)
Kiran is terrified of dogs and therefore doesn't want to go outside :(
India feels surprisingly familiar and comfortable again :)

One quick story:
As we walked into Newark's Terminal C, Kiran heard the lady behind us ask for the same gate number as ours. She leaned into me and said, "Mommy, that lady is going to be on our flight." We introduced ourselves and began talking. It turns out she's been in the US doing an internship with the World Bank, but she was headed back home for a few months. Turns out home is the city that we are moving to next week! She was super excited and can't wait to take us all around since she knows everything about it since she grew up there. We are excited to have a friend already in our city.
